Revenge is a dish best served with magic—and a pet dragon.
Hannah killed those who destroyed her family, but the man who ordered their deaths is still alive—and in power. It’s time someone worked to end Adrien’s evil rule.
But to find justice, Hannah needs to increase her skills. She and Sal head to the Heights for a little one-on-one training with a handsome young mystic while Ezekiel heads north to right a forty year old wrong.
Meanwhile, Parker is stuck dealing with the mess left behind after Hannah's ass-kicking. He has to fight back against a group of anti-magic zealots and uncover the mystery of a new factory whose workers are never seen nor heard from again.
The nightmare is real, but a Reawakening is coming.
Reawakening is fast-paced, full of action, and follows Hannah’s quest to build a team and stop the evil Adrien’s plans to rule Irth.

This book was even better than the first, and the first set a very high standard. This series works as a standalone but flows so well with the rest of TKG universe. I do miss the weres but maybe we will see them in the near future. I love the foretelling with Zeke near the end, implying there will be much more to come in this fantastic series. More than just the current foe.The characters have such varied personality but work well together. You can feel the energy that is built with their rapport jumping off the page and grabbing you, pulling you into their adventure.

Reawakening Age Of Magic The Rise of Magic Book 2 eBook CM Raymond LE Barbant Michael Anderle Candy Crum Reviews
I like this series of books as stand alone books apart from the Kurtherian universe. The characters are well developed and one can really get involved with them. The books are fast paced and the story line is pretty good. As an avid reader of anything in the Kurtherian universe my problem with this series is that it seems to diminish the importance of the other books in Kurtherian universe that deal more immediately with trying to re-establish civilization after the fall. In this series of books we are moved ahead 300 years from the fall and Arcadia is the center of civilization. From this vantage point the attempts to re-establish civilization in New York (the Reclaiming Honor series in the Kurtherian universe) or in North Chicago (the Nomad series in the Kurtherian universe series) are seemingly forgotten failed attempts to re-establish civilization in the intervening age of madness set forth in these books and are not even mentioned. I am seriously at a loss if it is worth reading the Reclaiming Honor or Nomad series of books as they appear to be forgotten footnotes in the post fall of civilization history
I like Hannah, but I see Michael's hand in her vulgarity coming out. She is the one saying bad words all the time, but in my experience, it's usually boys with the potty mouth, and the males in these stories rarely indulge, even the men/boys from thee same background as her.
I loved this series. Glad that you are pumping them out as quickly as you are. One thing about all of the books in the Kurtherian Gambit Series is there is always a book in one of the ages coming out. Thanks for your work in these ages. Also I don't usually go for books on magic but this kind works without being hokey. Can't wait for the next one.
I do love a good story about magic and mystical times. I love watching the characters and story unfold. The sheer imagination it took to develop magic from aliens/nanocytes is excellent. I can't wait to read more. Like the Kurtherian Gambit, I truly can't put these book down!!! The Kurtherian Gambit and The Age of Magic are my absolute favorite books.
The continuing saga of Hanna growing up and learning magic continues to be fun and entertaining. The bad guys are realistic/not over the top, and oh so fun to hate. The progression promises to bring more fun. Bring it on!
As far as Kurtherian history goes, you do not have to read the dozens of previous stories to understand these stories. It might be a richer experience, but the pertinent history continues to be "taught" to Hanna as she progresses through her plight.
As far as the Rise of Magic Series goes, four books comes to a satisfactory conclusion with promise of many more adventures to come.
I loved book 1 - this one, I thought was not QUITE as good, but still worthy of 4+ stars. Lots of character development on new/minor characters, not so much on Hannah. Felt there could have been quite a bit more done with her getting into her undercover role, it just felt rushed, like the authors were trying to add to the backstory a bit too much, at the expense of developing Hannah further. Still, very enjoyable read!
Tried to get more info on the series from FaceBook, but apparently now they've changed it where you can't even SEE any pages unless you are logged in, so those of us who won't, are locked out. Sigh. And the author's own web page hasn't been updated lately.
At first I liked these first two books as being completely separate. I couldn't connect it to the queen. Then I had an idea. What if Irth wasn't Earth. What if it was one of the other planets the kurtherians had landed on. Then the future earth didn't turn into irth, but was very similar because of their influence. Irth has a lot of room to grow and could be the next dragon lance. Great books. I highly recommend them. Five stars.
